Limp Bizkit Tour Dates
Limp Bizkit announces 2010 Tour. Limp Bizkit to tour again in 2010. Get out your blood-red Yankee cap because Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst is emerging from the cave of anonymity and obscurity again. His long-dormant band will spend their summer on their first major concert tour in more than nine years. The band's original powerhouse line-up of Fred Durst, Wes Borland, Sam Rivers, John Otto and DJ Lethal are also prepping a new album, entitled Gold Cobra, which is scheduled to be released later this year. Does anyone else wonder if that's a dirty joke?
The Gold Cobra Tour kicks off in the New York / New Jersey market at PNC Bank Arts Center on July 3, so you can begin your Fourth of July holiday festivities with the LB if you live near the Jersey shore! The tour continues with 30+ headline shows in the U.S. this summer. The tour will feature very special guest and support act Snoop Dogg (unconfirmed). This U.S. leg of the tour will be followed by a European run of more than 40 headlining shows. So Limp Bizkit will be logging plenty of miles on their tour vehicle.
The band also released a sneak preview of the forthcoming Gold Cobra album on their website. The fan response overwhelmed the band, crushing the website server and garnering more than 50,000 listens in the first few hours. Maybe Bizkit needs to update their servers! source

Limp Bizkit Add Ice Cube, Method Man And Redman To Summer Tour, Perform On “The Tonight Show”
Limp Bizkit have added Ice Cube, Method Man and Redman to separate legs of their upcoming summer tour. The band were originally set to hit the road with Snoop Dogg for the bulk of the trek, though Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst announced earlier this week that Snoop Dogg would no longer be involved. source
Limp Bizkit's First U.S. Tour In Nearly A Decade Will Be 'Big' Lineup includes Ice Cube, Method Man and Redman, others.
In many ways, Limp Bizkit's upcoming Gold Cobra album is about coming full circle. It's their first studio album to feature the full lineup in more than 10 years, not to mention a return to the band's big, Billboard-dominating sound of the late '90s. So, somewhat fittingly, they're promoting it with a full summer tour, the group's first stretch of U.S. dates in nine-plus years.
In keeping with the familiar Bizkit vibe, they're bringing some old friends along for the ride. Ice Cube will join them for the majority of the dates (replacing Snoop Dogg, who was announced for the tour but has since dropped off) and, according to frontman Fred Durst, Cube's not the only special guest Limp Bizkit will have on hand.
"This is our first U.S. tour in — obviously — many, many years, so we wanted it to be big," he told MTV News last week. "Method Man and Redman [will be on] on some dates ... some other bands too. We're excited. We're just going to keep rocking."
Bizkit fans might remember that Ice Cube starred in "The Longshots," the 2008 film directed by Durst. Meth and Red have worked with the band in the past: Both rappers appeared on the song "Rollin' (Urban Assault Vehicle)," from 2000's Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water,) and Meth famously collaborated with the band on "N 2 Gether Now," a hit single from LB's Significant Other album.
And though Limp Bizkit have begun touring in earnest in support of the album, they're most looking forward to the summer jaunt. Because with that tour — kicking off on July 3 in Holmdel, New Jersey — and the acts they're taking on the road with them, Durst and Co. hope to hammer home the fact that they're back and better than ever — and so are their friends.
"Personally, I feel like a lot of rockers don't necessarily go see the urban artists they like at urban concerts," Durst said. "I think it'd be nice to bring the urban artist to the rock place, so they can be in their comfort zone and see some other type of acts." article

Limp Bizkit Biography (Short bio on the Limp Bizkit) Formed: 1994 in Jacksonville, FL Years Active: 1990 's, 2000's Genre: ROCK
The rap-metal outfit Limp Bizkit was formed in Florida in 1994 by vocalist Fred Durst and his friend, bassist Sam Rivers. Rivers' cousin John Otto soon joined on drums, and guitarist Wes Borland completed the original foursome (later supplemented by DJ Lethal). After Korn played the Jacksonville area in 1995, bassist Fieldy got several tattoos from Durst (a tattoo artist) and the two became friends. The next time Korn were in the area, they picked up Limp Bizkit's demo tape and were so impressed that they passed it on to their producer, Ross Robinson. Thanks mostly to word-of-mouth publicity, the band was chosen to tour with House of Pain and the Deftones. The label contracts came pouring in, and after signing with Flip/Interscope, Limp Bizkit released their debut album, Three Dollar Bill Y'All. By mid-1998, Limp Bizkit had become one of the more hyped bands in the burgeoning rap-metal scene, helped as well by more touring action -- this time with Faith No More and later, Primus -- as well as an appearance on MTV's Spring Break '98 fashion show. The biggest break, however, was a spot on that summer's Family Values Tour, which greatly raised the group's profile.
Limp Bizkit's much-anticipated second album, Significant Other, was released in June 1999, and it and the accompanying video for "Nookie" made the group superstars. Significant Other debuted at number one and had sold over four million copies by year's end, also helping push Three Dollar Bill Y'All past the platinum mark. Durst, meanwhile, was tapped for a position as a senior vice president at Interscope Records in early July. However, in the midst of this massive success, controversy dogged the band following that summer's performance at Woodstock '99. In the wake of the riots and sexual assaults that proved to be the festival's unfortunate legacy, Durst was heavily criticized for egging on the already rowdy crowd and inciting them to "break stuff." Not only was at least one mosh-pit rape reported during the group's set (in addition to numerous other injuries), but the ensuing chaos forced festival organizers to pull the plug in the middle of their show. Even though Limp Bizkit's performance took place the day before the infamous festival-closing riots, the band was raked over the coals in the media, who blamed them for touching off the spark that inflamed a potentially volatile atmosphere. Undaunted, Limp Bizkit headlined that year's Family Values Tour, with the newly controversial Durst grabbing headlines for periodic clashes with Bizkit's tourmates. During the Napster flap of 2000, Durst became one of the most outspoken advocates of online music trading; that summer, Limp Bizkit embarked on a free, Napster-sponsored tour. All of this set the stage for the October release of the band's third album, Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water. Wes Borland left the band soon after, necessitating a long search for a replacement guitarist of comparable value; finally, after going almost three years without a new album, the band released a disappointing record, Results May Vary. Borland returned after its release, and the band issued The Unquestionable Truth, Pt. 1 in 2005, and album that was roundly ignored even if it was marginally better than its predecessor. The Bizkit then released Greatest Hitz, a 17-track career survey that included all the hits from their heyday. John Bush, All Music Guide .... read more Limp Bizkit biography
